One thing about Nigerian music artiste whose songs trended in the past but had career suddenly diminished usually after their one-hit-wonder is that they always attribute their failures to dynamic nature of the industry and poor financial muscle.
Yes, they're right because music industry is more like fashion industry which has what trends at a time and became obsolete afterwards just like fashion line - so the best approach is to align with changing nature of the industry. Today there are handful of old cargo musicians who are still the rave of the moment such as Flavour N' Abania, Duncan Mighty, Phyno and very few others because of the fact that they keep abreast with changes to maintain their space in the industry. Assorted kporonge had successful musical product titled Kporonge in the year 2010. The song was produced by Wizboyy and also a commercial success. Many Nigerians thought that the singer was Wizboyy because Assorted and Wizboyy had similar tone. The song topped music charts in Africa, became most played in broadcasting outfits.
Career
Assorted began his journey in music industry 2003 and later ventured into movie acting. They formed music duo, the music duo by Ugwuanyi Innocent Ikechukwu (Pacy) and Ogbonna Chukwuebuka Victor (Buvic) who seems to spearhead the group. During early 2000s, Enugu State was the hub of entertainment in Eastern Nigeria and most Musicians struggle to settle and operate in Enugu, this gave birth to more Enugu breed artistes. Almost 70 percent of Igbo artistes started their career in Enugu, the likes of Niggar Raw, Flavour, Phyno, Slowdogg, Wizboyy, etc.
Ikechukwu and Ebuka met in 2006 during hustles at a recording studio. Due to the undieing passion, they freestyled together on their acquaintance, hanging
out and they later realized that they shared common interests and vision and after deliberations, they decided to peer. They crafted the name "Assorted" that reflected the dynamism and versatility in their style.
There music style rooted in highlife, the duo craft their sound with a vibrant blend of pop and urban infuses. Their debut single, Kporonge, earned widespread popularity, rocking the waves in Eastern Nigeria and garnering positive feedback from audiences across the country and other parts of Africa.
The commercial success of Kporonge attracted the attention of an indie label executive. Although the duo initially signed with the label, the contract was later terminated by mutual decision. They debuted a remix of the chart-topping single featuring Port Harcourt finest artiste, Duncan Mighty, with visuals directed by the Clarence Peters.
Soon after, Hillbank Music Records, a South African label based in Cape Town signed the duo, opening next chapter in their musical journey.

Although Ebuka also ventured into acting and made his first movie appearance in the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) award winning Movie (Rising moon) In the film, he played the role of late onyeka onwenu and justus Esiri’s son.
