One of the world greatest music group with significant achievements is Maybach Music Group (MMG).


MMG was a record label pioneered by American popular rapper, Rick Ross. Founded 2009.

Maybach has produced many prominent and successful artists such as Ross himself, Wale, Meek Mill, Omarion, Gunplay, Torch among others.


The music was established and operates in United States, Miami, Florida.

Island Def Jam was first to distribute Maybach Music Group Albums from 2009 to 2011 following expiration of their contractual agreement with MMG.

Warner Bros. Records, the parent body of Maybach Music Group took over the distribution from 2011 to 2013 and subsequently  Atlantic Records (a subsidiary of Atlantic Record Group) officially took over the distribution from 2013 to present.


Recently, Young Sav was named as the vice President of the company (MMG). The music group founded, owned and managed by Rick Ross, is home to Meek Mill, Rockie Fresh, Wale, Omarion,  French Montana, DJ Khaled, Fat Trel, Gunplay, DJ Scream, Teedra Moses, Stalley, Tracy T, Magazeen, Masspike Miles, and Triple C's.

History Of Albums Released (In chronological order):

MMG released it's first album in 2009 which was Rick Ross's third studio album "Deeper Than Rap". However, after the release, Rick Ross begins signing artists to his label.

While signing artists to his record label, he made acquaintances with  musicians such as Masspike Miles & hip hop group Triple C's who made of members Gunplay, Torch, and Young Breed.

In 2010 also, Rick Ross made an offer to Wiz Khalifa to sign him to Maybach Music Group. Khalifa was already signed with Atlantic Records at that time.

He also signed Maybach Music Groups' first reggae artist, Magazeen. On March 25, 2011, it was publicized that R&B & Soul singer Teedra Moses had signed to Maybach Music Group through Warner Bros.

On May 23, 2011, Maybach Music Group released the album Self Made Vol. 1 featuring Rick Ross with Maybach's crew, Wale; Meek Mill; Teedra Moses; Pill and Stalley together with Torch and Gunplay of Triple C's.

On 2nd of January, 2012, French Montana announced that he had signed a joint venture contract with Maybach Music Group and Bad Boy Records with Rick Ross and Diddy who set to executive produce his debut album.

Later, It was announced that his debut album Excuse My French would be released in Fall 2012 through Interscope Records.

On February 4, 2012, Rick Ross spoke about the departure of Pill from Maybach Music Group and disclosed that Pill was never truly signed to Maybach Music Group.

According to him, Pill was already signed to Warner Bros. prior to
Maybach Music Group and it was Warner executives who proposed the idea of Pill joining.
