Born on August 27, 1981 in Lagos State; Married to Sarah Bassey; He is originally from Ikot Ofon Ikono, Uyo local government area in Akwa-Ibom state, Southern Nigeria.
He studied international relations and politics at the University of Lagos before relocating to London to study politics thereafter. Conversely, he studied music at the Middlesex University Summer School.
