TGP Entertainment was founded in 2009 by Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Terry G, also known as Akpako Master. The label is based in Lagos, Nigeria and is known for its eclectic style and blend of Afro pop, dancehall, and hip hop. Terry G has been active in the Nigerian music scene since 2006, and he has been credited with popularizing the chante-chante subgenre.
On 10th November 2009, TGP Entertainment was incorporated with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission as Private company limited by shares. Having Gabriel Oche Amanyi (a.k.a Terry G) and Olaniyi Olasubomi Olakunlre as Director. The Entertainment company was registered with legal address as: No. 10 Babs, Ogun Wolest New Okooba, Lagos state.
The label's roster includes artistes such as Side One, Piper, Timaya, Jigga Man, Jaywon, Lord of Ajasa, Seriki, Lace, Tonto Dike, etc and it has released several successful albums and singles. TGP Entertainment is known for its innovative and cutting-edge approach to the music industry, and it has been praised for its commitment to promoting Nigerian music both locally and internationally. Gabriel Oche Amanyi born 17th March 1986, popular by his professional stage name as Terry G. He's a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and record executive known for his eccentric dress-sense, controversial lyrics and awkward identity.
He's also known by his nicknames: Akpako Master, Ginjah Master, Hitman, G.zuz, Terry G.zuz. Born in Amanyi family in Gbadibo LGA, Idoma, Benue State, Nigeria. Owns another record label known as Black Wall Street. He is the first of four children born to a Christian family. He grew up in Lagos, where he attended Starfield Educational Centre but could not further his education due to financial problems. Terry G is married to Mimi Omoregie. They have a son together.
