Throwback Times Nigeria is celebrating birthday of founder of Oriental Brothers International Band of Nigeria, Chief Ferdinand Dan Satch Chukwuemeka Opara a.k.a Chief Omenka as he turns 80 years August 10, 2025.

Oriental Brothers International Band of Nigeria at 55:
In same development, Throwback Times Nigeria also celebrate Oriental Brothers International Band of Nigeria as the legendary highlife music band turns 55 on August 2nd.

Chief Dan Satch and Oriental Brothers brief background:
Ferdinand Dan Satch, born August 10th 1945 at Imo State founded Oriental Brothers International Band after Nigeria-Biafra civil conflict in August 2nd, 1971, the Band was formed due to necessity to bring happiness and unite Igbos through music, just like the purpose of formation of People's Club of Nigeria. There were many people who joined Oriental Brothers such as Godwin Opara Kabaka, Ichita, Sir Warrior, Aquila, etc and currently the surviving members are: Ferdinand Dan Satch Chukwuemeka and Chief Livinus Alaribe (Aquila) and they're still making music together including performing lives at events.

Their Current Condition Needs Government's Attention:
My greatest regrets is that these men of substance and living legends are currently suffering, Ferdinand's house is not something to write home about, including that of Aquila, their houses needs renovations, they also needed good job or placed on salary to sustain themselves, they are too old, although physically and mentally agile. Eastern Governors especially the Imo State government needs to extend helping hands to these men. Such people are now very few in our society now.

Conclusion:
Throwback Times Nigeria is of the opinion that these men including the ones who had left this earth needs to be celebrated, just like Mike Ejeagha was celebrated before his demise. We wish Chief Omenka and Aquila 120 years on Earth.
