Religious leaders, scholars, and citizens prayed for a stronger and more united Nigeria, one that would learn from the wounds of Biafra and the mistakes of the past. They urged the government to uphold justice, equality, and compassion — so that never again would brothers fight against brothers.
As the nation reflected on independence at 25, a new prayer emerged:
That the scars of the Biafra War may become lessons of peace; that unity may grow from pain; and that Nigeria may continue to rise as one indivisible nation under God.
