Throwback Times has learned that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is preparing to declare official winner of the just concluded Anambra State guber poll which saw the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as the winner of the Anambra State Governorship Election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The planned declaration is expected midnight or in the early hours of Sunday, November 9, after collation of results from all 21 local government areas (LGAs) of Anambra State, confirming a decisive victory for Soludo and APGA in what many political observers have described as one of the most competitive and peaceful elections in the state’s recent history.

According to the results in the IREV, the Anambra governorship election Soludo polled highest votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicolas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

APC: 99,445
LP: 10,505
PDP: 1,401
