Photo: Google A sad incident occurred in Obosi town, Anambra state, where trigger-happy DSS operatives from state CID shot and killed popular Obosi youth, Chidebe Ibeakuzie (also known as Mighty). The DSS officer also shot unknown number of other people dead while some including keke drivers, passerbys sustained various degrees of injuries.
According to a community member who witnessed the incident said that the trigger DSS operative acted on instructions from Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, former member who represented Onitsha 2 constituency.
A report sighted by Throwback Times revealed that trouble began when Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo (also known as Liver to Deliver) allegedly encroached on Tochukwu Anyaoku's land. The land dispute had led to series of fights between Tochukwu Anyaoku and agents of Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo in the past.
The unresolved dispute escalated into chaos when heavily armed DSS arrived at Keke Park and began shooting. Chidebe Ibeakuzie and others, who were unarmed, attempted to flee and hide, but the DSS officer found and shot Chidebe Ibeakuzie in the leg. The officer also shot others before leaving the scene. Some Obosi indigenes who witnessed the incident quickly took Mighty and other victims to an undisclosed hospital, where Mighty was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

Eloka Anyaoku has been managing the disputed property on behalf of late Tochukwu Anyaoku's wife which was used as Keke Park at the back of Army Barracks, Onitsha.
Eloka Anyaoku had earlier raised alarm to Obosi people after sensing that Onitsha people championed by Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo were about to invade Tochukwu Anyaoku's property.
It all started some days ago when unidentified young man armed with ach color pump action gun in company of some policemen invaded the Keke Park. Onlookers and Park managers confronted the unidentified young man and the policemen, one of the policemen reportedly cautioned the armed young man "I've warned you severally about this gun you are carrying, oya give me the gun", and the young man surrendered the gun to the policeman.
Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo was also among those who invaded the Keke Park, it was reported that the honourable came with a baretta pistol.
As the violence ensued, the unidentified young man whom police disarmed hit one of the park managers with 6 inches block, as all these were going on.
Two tinted bus arrived in the scene and suspected thugs armed with different sorts of weapons alighted from the bus and situation gets more bloody. The young man whom police initially disarmed retrieved his pump action gun from the Police Officer and shot park manager, Eloka Anyaoku at the back and he felled.
It was reported that Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo obtained judgement from Kangaro court without defendant of which stay of execution had initially been obtained because the matter was already in court.
Due to conspiracy and corruption which embroided the matter at Zone 13, the case moved from there to State CID. Hon Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo later invaded the Keke Park with DSS and Operation Udo Ga Achi operatives, shot and killed several people including "Mighty" who was shot in the leg and a keke driver, injuring other people. After the DSS operatives left the scene, onlookers and passerby took Mighty to undisclosed Hospital where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead.

Before this mayhem, Obiefuna Ibuzo during the case filing and formalities at Awkuzu Sars told Mr Obienu an indigene of Obosi that Obosi town does not have the financial muscle to drag land with him. In another similar development in Obosi few months ago, it was reported that gunmen from Nkpor invaded Obosi and shot an Obosi vigilante member on duty, a matter which is yet to handle to conclusion.

The union urged the people of Obosi to remain calm while an investigation is conducted to determine the cause of the incident.
