On behalf of the Office of the Vice President and Chairman, NBF Media and Publicity Committee, I commend Hon. (Chief) Adebayo Olawale Edun, CVO, President of the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF), for helping make this resurgence possible. The remarkable turnaround, from disputed losses on Sunday to commanding 5-0 unanimous victories on Tuesday, demonstrates the importance of unity, merit, international exposure and a collective commitment to excellence. Mr President, your support for our shared vision and your recognition that international exposure for our boxers is sacrosanct have helped strengthen the belief that Nigerian boxing can compete and triumph on the continental stage.

I congratulate the President, our Head of Delegation, Capt. Rasulun Kashim, the technical crew and our gallant finalists: Ridwan Raheem, Ajishola Khadijat, Blessing Oraekwe, Patricia Nbata and Precious Anine Iyabo. Their performances have rekindled hope and confidence in Nigerian boxing. This achievement signals a promising new chapter for the NBF under your leadership. Let us preserve the unity, discipline and merit-driven approach that have brought us this far. With the finals ahead, the gold medals are within reach, and Nigeria must remain focused on turning this momentum into historic success.
